Six divisional offices of Maharashtra State Commission for Women set up
MUMBAI: As part of the decentralisation of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women, the government has set up six divisionaloffices across the state to ensure there is no pendency of complaints, an official said on Friday.
These offices have been set up in six revenue divisions of Nagpur, Amravati, Nashik, Pune,
Aurangabad and Konkan, the official from the women and child development department told PTI.
The head office will continue to be in Mumbai.
Each divisional office will have two lawyers, one counsellor, one clerk-cum-typist and one peon.
"To create a structure of administration, the state cabinet's approval is required. But since it will take time, the UNICEF,which works with the women and child development department, will take care of their salaries," the official said. -
