Sanjana, Hetal power St. Teresa

-

Dashing forwards Sanjana Salunkhe (4) and Hetal Goswami (3) powered St Teresa’s HS, Santacuz to a thumping 7-0 win against India Rush SC in a Girls’ under16 semi-final match of the Winter Rink hockey tournament, approved by Hockey India and played at the Dominic Savio HS hockey turf, Andheri on Friday.

This is the first hockey tournament to be played in the city following the Covid19 lockdown.

Thereafter, Sanjana showed great finishing touch and netted three goals in quick succession to put St. Teresa’s in a commanding position (40).

St. Teresa’s girls continued to dictate terms and added three more goals with Hetal well and scored a brace of goals each to seal their victory.

In the boys’ competition, Bombay Republicans got the better of India Rush 4-2 while Independent SC outclassed Gokuldham SC 14-0 in the semi-final matches.
