Each day’s a doomsday

-

Ref.: ‘Sitharaman attacks Cong, terms Rahul as ‘doomsday man of India’

(February 14). Let's be honest – who the doomsday personalities are currently, the nation knows well. For the last six years, each day has been a doomsday, with mismanagement and incompetence leading to increase in poverty and unemployment, hatred and unrest in the country and so many divisions. How could one forget the oil and gas prices? Demonetisation failure, the handling of the Covid crisis, especially with regard to the migrant labourers reaching their homes, farmers laws that only the BJP can understand are the other issues that rankle. Sitharaman says the common people are her government’s cronies. Actually, we the people of India, feel ashamed to have chosen a government that after seven years in power, tries to dodge responsibility by distracting public attention indulging in such whataboutery and suffering from dynastic phobia.
