Suitcase with 1.4 cr found in pantry car of special train

A joint team of the GRP and RPF recovered Rs1.40 crore from an unclaimed suitcase found in the pantry car of a special train at Kanpur central station in UP. Pantry car staff of Swatantrata Sangram Senani Special Train between New Delhi and Jayanagar informed the GRP Kanpur about a red unclaimed suitcas when the train halted at Kanpur station. GRP and RPF rushed and scanned the suitcase with a metal detector. They brought the suitcase to the office and broke open the lock before senior officials to find wads of currency notes. It took them 3 hours to count the money.
