Don’t antagonise Bollywood

Ref.: ‘Will stall films if Big B, Akshay remain silent, threatens Nana’ (February 19). The state Congress chief Nana Patole’s warning to Amitabh Bacchan and Akshay Kumar is uncalled for. Everyone has the freedom to choose when to express oneself. How can Patole expect actors – those adept at changing their garb at the drop of a hat - to be consistent. Attitudes such as Patole’s will only act as a catalyst for the proposed migration of Bollywood to Uttar Pradesh. So, silence will truly be golden for the state’s political actors, if they have the interests of the state at heart.
