BJP corporators question BMC's fund allotment in gender budget

On Monday, BJP corporators questioned the BMC's approach in allocating funds in the annual gender budget. BJP corporator Preeti Satam alleged, despite repetitive attempts, the BMC has not taken the members of the Women and Child Welfare committee into confidence before framing the budget. "While continuous efforts are being made for women empowerment, the civic administration has stopped taking our inputs seriously. Adequate financial allotment is not being done in the Gender Budget," said Satam. -
