Minister Chhagan Bhujbal tests +ve
MUMBAI: Maharashtra Minister of Food and Civil Supply Chhagan Bhujbal, on
Monday, tested positive for COVID-19. In a tweet, he said, “My test result is positive. Everyone who has come in contact with me in the last two or three days should undergo a coronavirus test.
My health is good and there is no reason to worry. All citizens should take proper care.” The minister has now been kept under medical observation.
Bhujabl had attended two marriages on Sunday and had accompanied several political leaders, including Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar. He had also held a meeting with the Nashik district administration and announced a slew of stringent curbs, including night cur few and a fine of Rs 1,000 for not using masks. Bhujbal is the fourth senior minister to test positive for the virus. -
