SMP gives NoC to Rs 3,900 crore LNG terminal in Bengal

Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port (SMP) said it has given its nod to the Rs 3,900 crore Liquefied Natural Gas terminal at Kukrahati along the river Hooghly in Purba Medinipur district for storage and re- gasification of LNG with a maximum capacity of 5 MMTPA. With an economic value of about Rs 6,000 crore, the project will provide about 250 direct employment and another 750 indirect employment.
