UP: SMRITI BUYS LAND FOR ` 11L

LUCKNOW: The Union Textile Minister and MP from once Congress citadel Amethi Smriti Irani on Monday bought a piece of land in her parliamentary constituency to keep her pre-poll promise. On Monday, she bought a plot measuring 14,850 sqft in Gauriganj at Rs11 lakh. She got its registry done and paid a Rs50,800 stamp duty. The Union minister promised to begin the construction shortly. “With this, I have fulfilled my promise. I will extend invitation to all people of my constituency for bhumipujan and foundation-laying ceremony to begin construction of my house in Amethi,” she said.
