Cops to fine 200 if found without mask, not 1,000

MUMBAI: Mumbai Police have clarified and shut off the rumour mongers who claimed that the policemen were charging 1000 for violating the rule of mask wearing. Clearing the air, in a tweet, Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh said, “Dear Mumbaikars! #FakeNews mongers are back again! This time claiming that No Mask can cost you a fine of 1000 rupees. While no money can compensate for safety being compromised, you can only be charged Rs 200 for not wearing a mask.”
