Let's be prepared to face possible new invasion: PM
Prime Minister Nehru today warned the nation not to be caught unawares in case the Chinese attacked again.
Addressing a public meeting on the fifteen th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Shri Nehru said that the Chinese might not accept the Colombo proposals because they were saying that the proposals "almost fulfilled" India's demand for the restoration of the September 8 line.
The Chinese attitude should be taken as a clear warning to us to be ready to face hardships once again should they launch a second attack, Shri Nehru said.
He also emphasised that it was absolutely imperative to continue the defence preparations without the slightest let-up.
