Fire at Kherwadi slums in Bandra, no casualty

MUMBAI: On Wednesday af ternoon, a fire broke out in the congested Kherwadi slum area at Bandra east. A ground plus one structure caught fire which also gutted portions of nearby shanties in the slums.

Although there has been no casualty, the fire had caused severe property damage to the slum dwellers. Fire officials stated that the fire intensified due to the presence of plastics and clothes that were kept inside the huts. -
