‘Not an iota of evidence’

Ref.: ‘Disha gets bail’ (February 24). During the time of Disha Ravi’s bail order, Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana demolished almost every charge levelled against her because “not even an iota of evidence was brought to notice”. Interestingly, before speaking about the conscience of the nation, Judge Rana not only quoted the Rig Veda but reminded the nation that “this 5,000year-old civilisation of ours has never been averse to ideas from varied quarters”. Activist Disha Ravi herself said, “If highlighting farmers’ protest globally is sedition, I am better off in jail.”
