Honour: Man kills daughter, son-in-law

LUCKNOW: In another honour killing in Uttar Pradesh, a man shot dead his daughter and son-in-law, a policeman, for intercaste marriage against family wishes and consent in Ghazipur district. Ajay Yadav, a police constable posted in Amethi and a resident of Bhabnauli village in Ghazipur district, fell in love with Sonali Singh of nearby Ichval village. 2 years ago, they eloped and got married in a court. Af ter getting to know about their intercaste marriage, the girl’s father, Rajesh Singh, had threatened them with dire consequences. On Februar y 22, Ajay had come to his village for a marriage in the family. He called her daughter home. At night, Rajesh forced Sonali to call up her husband Ajay to come and meet them. When Ajay came to their house, the couple was first beaten up and then her father shot both on head from point blank range.
