Cyber cops warn citizens of fake overseas job ads

MUMBAI: Amid a number of scams taking up the cyberspace, the Maharashtra Cyber has issued an advisory to those looking for job overseas and getting scammed into providing their original documents, following which they are subjected to blackmail. Explaining the con, an official said that the accused upload vacancy offers and when a victim applies, they send them a fake e-mail, informing them of selection and ask them to courier the original documents like birth certificate, passport for verification. -
