Yogi to take on ‘ Didi’ in Malda

-

SRAWAN SHUKLA / LUCKNOW: After flagging off Parivartan Yatra in Kerala, the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will now head to West Bengal to address his first rally in Malda on March 2 to challenge ‘Didi’ (Mamata Bannerjee) citadel. Rated as a star campaigner in the BJP, Yogi Adityanath has been in demand in poll-bound states because of his image as a firebrand Hindusta leader who can unite Hindu voters by his fiery speeches. Earlier, Yogi had tried to enter West Bengal but the administration had disallowed landing of his chopper to address a gathering. Though his programme to address more rallies in West Bengal is yet to be finalised, senior BJP leaders claimed the CM will address no less than a dozen rallies across the state, particularly areas dominated by minorities and where Hindus have faced many communal clashes.

The senior party leaders told FPJ the main focus of the party high command is in Kerala and West Bengal where the BJP’s lotus is yet to bloom. It has planned rallies in every nook and corner of the two states.
