CM presents budget of Rs97k-crore with focus on rural C’garh

To create a new Chhattisgarh (Gadhbo Naya Chhattisgarh), Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday presented a budget of Rs97,106 crore for 2021-22 in the state Assembly.

“The budget defines the concept of development through the acronym HEIGHT —H for holistic development, E for education (equal opportunity for all), I for infrastructure, G for governance, H for health and T for transformation,” he said.

It is public-centric, childfriendly, development-oriented budget with 38 % provision for social sector, 39 % for economic sector and 23 % for the general service sector.
