NO PM SNAP AT PETROL PUMPS
THE ELECTION Commission has directed petrol pumps to remove hoardings that carry photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi within 72 hours, reports India Today’s news portal. The poll panel said use of the prime minister's photos in hoardings that publicise the central government's schemes at petrol pumps violates the election model code of conduct (MCC). The Model of conduct came into effect last Friday when the Election Commission announced dates for assembly elections.
The TMC recently complained against use of PM Modi's photos in posters and videos used for Covid-19 vaccination drive.
