India asks OPEC+ to fulfill promise of stable oil prices, ease production curbs

NEW DELHI: With retail petrol and diesel prices going through the roof, India on Thursday again urged oil producers' group OPEC to ease production curbs to fulfill their promise of stable oil prices. Though the average price of crude oil India imports was less than USD 50 per barrel between April and December 2020 and comparable to 201920 average rate of USD 60.47 in months thereaf ter, petrol and diesel prices are at a historic high now as the government has so far not rolled back the taxes it levied when prices plummeted almost a year back.

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd on Thursday said it has entered into a strategic partnership with CarDekho and AutoBrix for online to offline doorstep tyre deliver y-cum-fitment service. Under the initiative, JK Tyre will use its existing channel network to extend its products and services to consumer's doorstep with CarDekho's automobile platform providing the online channel to purchase car tyres from JK Tyre and AutoBrix India enabling tyre deliver y and fitment at customer's doorstep, the company said in a statement.
