Gas line damaged near Thane civic chief's bungalow

Mahanagar gas pipeline damaged in front of Thane Municipal Commissioner Dr Vi pin S harm a' s official bungalow on Saturday afternoon. The fire brigade reached the spot and brought the situation under control. According to the regional disaster management cell of Thane, the pipeline was damaged at Patlipada, Ghodbunder Road, Thane West. It was found the damage was due to road repair work. "The road repair was going on and the pipeline was kept safe. But the mud on the side fell on the pipeline and it got damaged. The gas supply was stopped and the gas ser vice of 300 customers was suspended. The service resumed in 3 hours after the completion of work ,” the officials said.

San to sh K adam, regional disaster management cell of Thane, said ," The situation was controlled within an hour and no one was injured or harmed in the incident. Also, the gas supply has been resumed ."
