Aahana Kumra reveals her fashion faves
The Lucknow born actress, Aahana Kumra is very conscientious about taking excellent care of her hair and skin. Her choice of outfits is the extremes of the spectrum — from salwar kameez to shorts and a T-shirt. Here, Aahana answers a volley of questions about her fashion choices, skin and hair care routine. Excerpts:
Favourite outfit when travelling to shoots: Shorts and a T-shirt. Favourite outfit for a formal occasion: Dresses. Favourite outfit for weddings: An anarkali suit or a saree. Favourite outfit for an award function: A gown. I like to sleep in: Night suits or kaftans. Favourite fashion designers: I can name so many! I like Gagan Mishra, Payal Singhal, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Raw Mango, Shantanu Nikhil… Fashion confession: I prefer wellfitted clothes. I am not such a brand conscious person. I am tall, and the problem with tall people is not all clothes fit well. There are only a few brands that have the perfect fitting. Hence, I love Mango and Zara. Favourite brand in jeans: I possess so many jeans that I have lost count. I shop for jeans for no apparent reason. American Eagle and Zara are my favourite brands.
I look best in: Salwar kameez. Best dressed actress: Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Best dressed actor: Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh. Favourite brand in sunglasses: Beckham. My handbag always has: A sanitiser.

Louis My Vuitton. favourite brand in handbags: My favourite brand in watches: I like smartwatches, so what better than Fitbit! Fashion tip: People give too much importance to fashion; if you are fit and healthy everything looks great on you. My personal stylist: Juhi Ali and Devki. For my hair treatment I go to my best friend’s mother Ratna aunty. I have also discovered Zeedo (Zinc and Doro) who are fabulous. Make up tip: I like to keep it very minimal. My skin texture is fantastic as I pamper it a lot. My tip on hair care: I use egg and aamla to nourish my hair. Features I like to highlight when I do my make up: Eyebrows and eyelashes. Favourite hair care brand: Sebamed for my daily hair wash. I end up washing my hair almost every day, since I sweat a lot after a workout. So, I use Olaplex to prevent my hair from becoming dry. I also like shampoos from L'Oréal and Juicy Chemistry. Home remedies I use for my skin: After a run, I apply uptan to remove the dirt.
