Chopra wants to continue with current coach
NEW DELHI: Describing his German coach Klaus Bartonietz as the best for him, Olympic gold-winning javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra on Friday said he would like to continue their spectacular partnership in the 2024 Paris Games as well. During a panel discussion at the 'India Today Conclave', Chopra said Bartonietz's methods suit him as the bio-mechanical expert cracks jokes even during intense sessions making training thoroughly enjoyable.

Murray back in wife’s good books
INDIAN WELLS: Andy Murray's wedding ring and tennis shoes have been recovered after they seemingly disappeared in the California desert. The three-time major winner is preparing for action at Indian Wells and left his tennis shoes outside underneath his car to dry out overnight, but they were nowhere to be seen when he returned in the morning. In an earlier instagram post, Murray light-heartedly appealed for the return of the ring - to help him smooth things over with his frustrated wife.
Windfall in league winners prize money
MUMBAI: Football Sports Development (FSDL) on Friday announced an increase in the prize money for Indian Super League (ISL) 'Shield Winners' by INR 3 crore starting from 202122 season. The League Winners Shield, introduced in the 201920 season conferred to the table toppers were earlier presented with a cash reward of INR 50 lakh since the last 2 seasons.

FIFA to postpone Club World Cup until 2022
LONDON: FIFA plans to postpone the Club World Cup until early next year due to hosting challenges linked to the pandemic, people familiar with the planning said. Coronavirus restrictions led to Japan withdrawing from staging the seven-team tournament this December, and South Africa then abandoned a bid due to the need to get more of the country vaccinated. FIFA is now exploring staging the event in January or February, the people told The Associated Press.
