Arjun Maini bags maiden podium Lukaku, Hazard sent home due to fitness concerns

NUREMBERG: Mercedes-AMG DTM star Arjun Maini showed remarkable speed and skill as he bagged his maiden podium after finishing at the second spot in the latest round held at the circuit of Norisring. "Yesssss we did it !!!!! P2. So happy to get my first podium in DTM @DTM here in Norisring and also the first-ever podium for India. Thank you all for the great support and big thanks to @amgmotorsp­ort and @Getspeed2 for the amazing car. Tomorrow we go again," tweeted Maini. Maini had started off the race at fourth place, but he went on to display great skill to finish at the second spot.

LAS VEGAS: Struggling a windy day, Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri slipped down the leaderboar­d from Tied 30 to 54 after carding a one-over 72 at the Shriners Children's Open, here. Lahiri had shot 65 and 70 on the first two days. Adam Schenk (64-65-66) was the leader at 18 under while Matthew Wolff (64-67-65) was second at 17 under. Chad Ramey, Sam Burns, and Andrew Putnam are tied for third at 16 under. On a day when it was windy and not very easy, Lahiri missed the few chances that came his way but he also managed a few tough pars on Saturday.

BRUSSELS: Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard will not take part in the remaining internatio­nal matches for Belgium due to fitness concerns, Belgium coach Roberto Martinez confirmed. Both Lukaku and Hazard had both played in Belgium's UEFA Nations League semi-final defeat against France on Thursday. However, the duo will not play for Belgium later in the day in the third-place play-off against Italy after struggling with muscular fatigue following the semi-final. Lukaku will not be immediatel­y reporting to Chelsea. He will return to Belgium to seek treatment on the affected muscle.
