Sindhu qualifies for knockouts

Bali: India's PV Sindhu progressed to the knockout stage of the BWF World Tour Finals with 21-10 21-13 win over Germany's Yvonne Li in her second group A match here on Thursday. Sindhu faces top seed Pornpawee Chochuwong of Thailand next in her last group match. India's Kidambi Srikanth lost 21-18 21-7 to Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn in second Group B game. Also, India's top doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty pulled out of the tournament after the former complained of knee pain. Indian duo of Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy lost their second Group B doubles game to Bulgaria's Gabriela Stoeva and Stefan Stoeva 21-19, 22-20.
