Vastu shastra converts homes into peaceful, well cultured and well decorated attire. This tends to lead every members of family towards a balanced, cheerful and prosperous path. This commentary is giving knowledge of this subject below.

The reason of this growing belief amongst people in the science of vastu is the talk about it that people have ever since been overhearing from their grand mother and grand father that building in what direction the kitchen or for that matter the bed room, the drawing room or the temple etc would be much auspicious from the vastu point of views which would prove to be a lucky charm for the resident of the house. Previously, people built their hoses upon the premises instructed in the vastu shastra without knowing what effects these bring on the lives of the residents of the house. Now people fully understand the implications contained in the instructions given in the vastu shastra and act accordingly while building homes. Some facts related to vastu shstra are being detailed below for your benefits.

Direction of kitchen according to vastu shastra

Majority of the kitchen earlier used to be in the south-east directions. People earlier used to build kitchen in the corner because electricity were not a reality then. Sunlight was the convenient source of lighting then. Sunlight remained in this direction from morning to evening. The housewives cooked meals from morning till the forenoon and there was no scope for the insects or the bugs to get cooked along with the cooking foods. Similarly light lasted full blast in the kitchen built in this direction till 6-7 pm in the evening too. Now according to vastu shastra, kitchen is advised to be built in south east direction for altogether different reason because this direction, also known as Agni kone is indicative of Agni energy and food is cooked in kitchen on fire bringing good omen upon the residents of the home.

What vastu says on the painting of home?

Formerly, people of used to paint the walls their houses in different colours and etched artistic it an drawings on it to give attractive look. But this the is prohibited as per walls vastu shastra to paint in one and only colour the because this will give a dull house a neutral and look repulsing positive the energy miles away from house. Therefore, painting the walls in different colours is much in practice now.

Dirt and squalour- a strict no no as per vastu

Formerly, homes were made bigger and open so that cleaning work could be undertaken smoothly and dirt might not gather I any corner of the home. Because the people knew, diseases thrive on dirt. In today’s times, homes are not made too bigger. Homes are cleaned not only for the cleaning sake, but vastu says the dirts, excess of gears and junk luggage strewn all over the houses attract negative energy causing harms. Junk and dirt trigger depression, lack of energy and enthusiasm and memory loss. Unwanted domestic gears rotting inside the house which are no more of any uses must be donated or sold to the kawadiwala to invite good omen.

Placement of furniture in the house as per vastu

Previously, whatever furniture people put were not set sticking to the walls to facilitate the cleaning job conveniently. According to vastu shastra, furniture is not kept stick against walls because the corners of furniture would gather dust which will produce negative energy causing harms to the residents of the house.

Sharp edged furniture as per vastu shastra

Formerly people made furniture with edges which were not extended outwards to prevent children being hurt from the edges of the furniture. Now the reason behind smoothing and rounded edges as per the vastu shastra is otherwise it (sharp edges) would invite negative energy inviting bad omen near the residents of the house.
