Man enters classroom, sexually assaults girls; DCW notice to police, civic body

NEW DELHI: A man allegedly entered the classroom of a civic body-run school in east Delhi and sexually assaulted two girls before undressing himself and urinating in front of the students, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) said on Wednesday.

It claimed when the students informed the principal and class teacher, they were told to keep quiet and forget it. The Delhi Police registered a case but did not divulge details. While the DCW has issued a notice to the police and East Delhi Municipal Corporation, there was no immediate reaction from the civic body officials about the stranger gaining entry to the classroom.

The EDMC-run schools have students up to class 5.

Woman raped, stabbed in Gurgaon; 1 arrested

GURUGRAM: A 23-year-old woman was allegedly raped and stabbed by two men at Nathupur in the DLF Phase 3 area of Gurugram, police said. Police have arrested one of the accused and is searching for the other one. The accused, Anil Kumar, is a Bihar native. According to the police, the crime took place on Monday night.
