WR cancels, alters night train services on Sep 15-16

In connection with the ongoing work of Delisle road-overbridge (RoB) at Lower Parel, a power and traffic block of four hours will be taken on all lines at Lower Parel from 1.10 am to 5.10 am on the intervening night of September 15-16, 2022. As a result, six local trains will be cancelled and around half a dozen local services will be partially cancelled.

According to Western Railway (WR) chief public relations officer Sumit Thakur, as a result of the block, the BorivaliChurchgate slow local departing from Borivali at 12.30 am will be run as an extra fast local between Andheri-BandraDadar-Mumbai Central. Similarly, the Virar-Churchgate slow local departing from Virar at 12.05 am will be run as an extra fast local between BorivaliAndheri–Bandra–Dadar–Mumbai Central.

The Churchgate-Virar slow local departing from Churchgate at 4.15 am will instead be run from Dadar, and will depart at 4.36 am. Hence, this train will be partially cancelled between Churchgate and Dadar. The Churchgate-Borivali slow local departing from Churchgate at 4.38 am will be run from Bandra and will depart at 5.08 am. This train will be partially cancelled between Churchgate and Bandra. Meanwhile, the Virar-Churchgate slow local departing from Virar at 3.25 am will be delayed and depart late by 15 minutes. The Nallasopara-Borivali slow local departing from Nallasopara at 3.40 am will be delayed and depart late, after the departure of the Virar-Churchgate slow local.

The fast local running from Bhayandar to Churchgate will depart at 4.05 am, which is 15 minutes later than usual, while the Virar-Churchgate fast local departing at 3.53 am will be delayed and depart 5 minutes later. The Borivali-Churchgate will be cancelled and will be run as extra fast local from Malad, departing at 4.45 am.

The Borivali-Churchgate slow local departing from Borivali at 4.02 am will be run up to Dadar and will not halt at Matunga Road and Mahim stations. In the reverse direction, it will be run as a Dadar-Virar fast local. Hence, both these train services will be partially cancelled between Dadar and Churchgate.

The Borivali-Churchgate slow local departing from Borivali at 4.14 am will be run up to Bandra. In the reverse direction, it will be run as a BandraBorivali slow local, with both these services partially cancelled between Bandra and Churchgate.
