Central Railway to add 2nd Vistadome coach on Madgaon section

The Central Railway (CR) will attach one Vistadome coach to the Mumbai-Karmali Tejas Express from today. This will be the second Vistadome coach on the Mumbai-Madgaon section, with the first attached to the Mumbai-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express.
The Central Railway has so far attached a total of five Vistadome coaches to different trains along its network and with the attachment of a Vistadome coach to the Tejas Express, it will have six in all. The trains that offer the premium travelling experience are – Mumbai-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express, Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express, Mumbai-Pune Deccan Queen, Mumbai-Pune Pragati Express, Pune-Secunderabad Shatabdi Express.

A decision pertaining to its future attachment will be taken based on the feedback and response of passengers,” said Shivaji Sutar, chief public relations officer, CR. He added that travel bookings for the Vistadome coach are open at all computerised reservation centres and on the website.
Meanwhile, the Tejas Express route will be extended up to Madgaon from November 1, 2022. “The Tejas Express leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai (CSMT) at 5.50 am with effect from November 1, 2022, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It will arrive at Madgaon at 2.40 pm the same day.
In the return direction, the train will leave Madgaon at 3.15 pm (instead of Karmali at 2.40 pm) every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and will arrive CSMT at 11.55 pm the same day.
