The NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader was

accompanie­d to the meeting by his one-time rival Dhairyashi­l Mohite-Patil, who recently quit the BJP and joined the NCP (SP). The Sharad Pawar faction wasted no time in announcing that Mohite-Patil will be fielded from Madha in Solapur.

After meeting Pawar on Wednesday, Jankar told journalist­s that his supporters wanted him to join the NCP (SP). “My workers are insisting that I go with the Sharad Pawar group. They also wanted to end to our enmity with Mohite Patil and his workers,” he said. Mohite-Patil said, “There are many candidates who changes their parties to get ticket. So what is wrong if we ended our enmity for the election.” He also said that his supporters wanted to end the enmity with Jankar and his group. According to sources, Jankar wants to secure his Vidhan Sabha seat before supporting anyone. He also want assurance from MohitePati­l for the assembly elections. According to sources, NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Ram Raje Nimbalkar is also disappoint­ed with the BJP, which has again given a ticket to sitting Madha MP Ranjit Naik-Nimbalkar. He might also support Mohite- Patil, the sources said.
