Traffic restrictions at Motera stadium
In response to the upcoming IPL 2024 matches scheduled at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the city Police Commissioner announced new traffic restrictions to ensure smooth traffic flow. For the remainder of the season, authorities have outlined specific road closures and alternative routes for the convenience of commuters.
With cricket fever gripping the city, the Police Commissioner took proactive measures to manage traffic around the Narendra Modi Stadium effectively.
During the remaining matches of the season, specific road segments will be closed to vehicular traffic. The restricted areas include the road segment between Janpath T Junction and Stadium Main Gate, as well as the stretch from Krupa Residency to the Stadium Main Gate. To navigate around these closures, authorities have proposed alternative routes for commuters and residents in the vicinity.
One suggested alternative route directs traffic from Tapovan Circle to ONGC Crossroads, then to Visat T Junction, proceeding towards Janpath T Junction, and finally leading to Powerhouse Crossroads and Prabodh Rawal Circle. Another route option entails travelling from Krupa Residency to Sharan Status Crossroads, then to Koteshwar Road, and finally reaching Apollo Circle. These alternative routes aim to mitigate congestion and ensure minimal disruption to daily commutes during match days.
The enforcement of these diversions will be in effect during the remaining IPL 2024 matches at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Matches including GT vs DC on April 17, GT vs RCB on April 28, GT vs CSK on May 10, GT vs KKR on May 13, and the remainder.
