Raja Singh slams police

- FPJ BUREAU/HYDERABAD

BJP’s Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh today made sensational remarks during the Hanuman Shobha Yatra. He said the police deliberately delayed the Shobha yatra. Alleging that cases were not new to him, he said he would not back down no matter how many cases were filed against him to protect Hindu dharma.

Alleging that the police misbehaved on the day of Ram Navami and many Ram devotees suffered due to the delay by the police in Srirama Navami day. He said the police also registered a case against him. “The police thought we would not take out the shobha yatra on the day of Ram Navami, where cases were filed. Even if thousands of cases are filed, we are not people who are afraid," he added.

On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, a massive shobha yatra was organized in Bhagyanagar. The massive shobha yatra began on Tuesday after performing a homam at the Gowliguda Ram Mandir on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. The yatra, led by the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Hyderabad, was attended by a large number of Hanuman devotees. The massive shobha yatra, which is one of the longest Yatra in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, begins from Gowliguda. It will continue from Narayanguda, RTC Crossroads to Tadban Hanuman Temple.

The police made elaborate security arrangements following information that a large number of people are expected to come for the yatra this year. As part of this, traffic restrictions have been imposed on the routes where the shobha yatra will continue. Vehicles were diverted. Voluntary organisations and Hindu organisations made huge arrangements at major intersections for the yatra.
