MoU for revival of Asian cultural glory: Chakrawal
Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal on Tuesday said the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions, stating that the cultures and knowledge of Asian countries are not only ancient but they also have a prosperous and strong foundation.
Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, and the Director of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, Professor Swaroop Prasad Ghosh, exchanged the memorandum of understanding to establish a centre of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies at the Central University.
Chakrawal said that through the memorandum of understanding, it would expand the interest of youth in research and exploration of Asian history. There is a need to bring the ancient Indian knowledge tradition to the youth in a scientific manner. In the knowledge tradition, scientific thinking and logic have been given priority.
He added both institutions will endeavor to work in synergy, using science and technology through coordinated efforts in various areas of research and innovation, keeping in mind the National Education Policy and the research-oriented perspective of culture.
Professor Swaroop Prasad Ghosh, Director of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, said it will bring both the two institutions closer academically. The National Education Policy 2020 provides opportunities for equality, accessibility, flexibility, research, and exploration for all.
