Vote to enjoy free poha-jalebi, ice-cream, cold drink
Trader and hotel associations to offer free dishes, discounts to those who cast vote on May 13
District administration is chasing another No 1 tag for Indore. This time for highest voter turn-out in ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Their endeavour on Tuesday received a boost in the arms from different business and hotel associations of the city. These associations have offered to extend discounts and free offers on food and beverages to those who cast their votes on May 13.
Many innovations and unique initiatives are in the pipeline to enhance voting percentage. Under this, many important decisions were taken in the voter awareness dialogue pro- gramme held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Collector and District Election Officer Asheesh Singh.
Collector Singh said that every possible effort would be made to make the city number one in voting. Cultural programme too would be organised for awareness. He urged more and more voters to participate in voting and exercise their franchise. In the programme held in the conference hall of AICTSL, IMC Commissioner Shivam Verma, Smart City CEO Divyank Singh, CEO of District Panchayat Siddharth Jain and other officials along with representatives of various market associations, food items associations, cafes, malls were present.
Collector Singh said that voting was the basis of democracy. Every voter must exercise franchise. To attain maximum voting percentage and make city number one in voting, all sections of the society would have to play an important role. He also administered oath to the people to vote and motivate other voters to vote. On this occasion, business organizations shared their offers to voters who would be casting the vote.
VOTE AND GRAB OFFERS
1. Chhappan Dukan Assn would serve free poha and jalebi to voters between 7am and 9 am on May 13.
2. Young voters exercising their franchise for the first time would be served free ice cream.
3. Free Manchurian and noodles would be served to voters by Choice Chinese Centre near Bajrang Mandir on Krishnapura Chhatri Road.
