Teachers will not be allowed to leave the school premises in the name of puja or namaz.

“Teachers will not be allowed to leave schools in the name of worshiping Bheruji, Balaji or offering Namaz. If they want to do so, they should take leave else face disciplinary action.” “Usage of mobile phones will be banned in government schools. Teachers in schools keep watching share market proceedings and other things on mobile all day long. It is like a disease. This is impacting studies. Only principals will be allowed to use mobile phones,” Dilawar told the media on Monday. He said, “We are trying to improve the system in schools by ensuring that rules are followed.” Unions up in arms Dilawar's statement is being taken as impractical considering the usage of the mobile phones and teachers unions have started opposing it. The spokesperson of Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Shikshak Karmachari Sangh Narayan Singh said mobile phones have become a necessity these days and it's not possible to implement such a decision. “If government plans to impose any such rules, it will be opposed,” said Singh.

While calling mobile a disease, he said that many teachers in the school keep observing the 'share market' or social media on their cell phones.

"In such a situation, it has been directed that no teacher will now carry a mobile phone inside the school. Even if the teacher carries the cell phone by mistake, he or she will submit it to the principal," added the Rajasthan Education Minister.

Apart from this, the Education Minister said encroachments on playgrounds in government schools will be removed.

"Work has been started on this and efforts are also being made to bring quality in education by resolving all issues," Dilawar added.
