Ace Awards presented at GITAM University

The Directorate of Student Life (DoSL) of GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, distributed the prestigious ‘Ace Awards-2024’ to recognize and celebrate studentparticipation in extracurricular activities. The awards ceremony took place on Monday, and saw a record number of responses, with over 800 applications received across various award categories.

Dr Balkumar Gurunath Marthi, Dean of Campus Life, and Dr Reema Chaudhury, Director of Student Life, were present at the event to honour the deserving individuals and teams. Dean Marthi praised the students and team members for their outstanding contributions to enriching the campus culture, while Dr Chaudhary emphasized the transformative impact of extracurricular activities on the participants. They have congratulated the nominees as well as the award winners.

Several awards were presented at the ceremony, including Best Club of the Year to Kalakrithi and Best SIG of the Year to COGAAN, Most Favorite Club/SIG of the Year to GMUN among others. The event also featured cultural performances and a video showcasing the various student activities on campus.

Earlier, Geo Ciril Podipara, Assistant Director of the Directorate of Student Life, presented the annual report, and the vote of thanks proposed by Senior Manager Piyali Basu.

The audience showed their appreciation with thunderous applause, reflecting the excitement and enthusiasm of the event, which was coordinated by Rahul Mondal, and Vikas. The ‘Ace Awards-2024’ truly highlighted the exceptional talent and dedication of the students at GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, and underscored the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping well-rounded individuals.
