FC Bengaluru United head coach Fernando Varela and team owner Gaurav Manchanda exuded hope that their recent trip to Sevilla FC will offer valuable insights into the workings of the Spanish giant and were confident of those learnings being put to effective use at FCBU and its academy. FCBU and Sevilla had inked a fiveyear agreement in 2021 for collaboration in footballing expertise and knowledge transfer. Coach Varela was impressed by Sevilla Academy’s focus on player analysis.“I value how Sevilla FC works as a whole, the communication between the different departments of the club and the good atmosphere,” said Varela. “The harmony and coordination of the departments intrinsically favour the development of all the players and the continuous training of the coaches.”
