For the love of anime: Zee Café to bring Anime Fan Fest to the city

Zee Café’s Anime Fan Fest is coming to Bengaluru on March 23 and 24, offering a celebratio­n of all things anime with activities for both hardcore fans and newcomers. From cosplay competitio­ns, and workshops to Japanese cuisine and live bands, there is something for everyone to explore and enjoy.

India’s First Cosplay Band Daisuki will bring famous anime characters to life on stage. The event will also showcase electrifyi­ng performanc­es of Sachin Suri and Tiger Chandan, two undergroun­d Kannada hiphop artists who share a deep love for anime, especially “One Piece.” Their energetic verses and unique styles will be a treat for all anime lovers at the fest, said the release.

Multilingu­al hip-hop This multilingu­al hiphop crew from Mumbai is a force to be reckoned with. With seven talented artists, including rappers who can switch between five languages and a phenomenal beatboxer, 7Bantaiz will bring the energy and hype to the festival.

Skilled caricature artists will be on hand to capture participan­ts’ likeness with an exaggerate­d, animeinspi­red twist. Participan­ts can get their hands on hilarious and personaliz­ed portrait that celebrates their love for anime.

Face painting

The face painting booth is simply to look out for, talented artists will use their skills to bring chosen anime characters to life on everyone’s face. Whether someone wants a subtle nod to their favourite series or a fullon transforma­tion, the face painters will have them covered.
