Victim forcibly taken away on April 29 night, alleges son
The now missing alleged rape victim of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna was forcibly taken away by a person identied as Satish Babu, a resident of K.R. Nagar, her 20-year-old son alleged in his complaint to K.R. Nagar police on Thursday night. Babu, known to the victim and now arrested, took her away on the night of April 29 and she has been incommunicado since then, the complainant has said.
The complainant said his mother worked as a maid at JD(S) leader and former Minister H.D. Revanna’s (father of Prajwal Revanna) house in Holenarasipur and their farm for six years.
She left that job three years ago and returned to her village where she worked as a coolie.
The complaint said Satish Babu, known to the family, came to their house 3-4 days before elections and took his mother to Holenarasipur saying Bhavani Revanna, Mr. H.D. Revanna’s wife, had summoned her.
“Babanna dropped my mother to our house on the morning of polling day. He told my parents not to tell anything to the police if they came to our house and threatened us that we will be booked in a case and asked us to alert him if the police came,” the complaint said.
However, according to the complaint, Satish Babu came to their house again

around 9 p.m. April 29. “He said if my mother is caught by the police it would become a case and all of us will go to jail. He said Revanna has asked him to bring my mother. He forced my mother and took her on his bike,” the complainant said.
Further, he said that he discovered through his friends and two brothersin-law on May 1 that a video of his mother being allegedly raped by Prajwal Revanna was being circulated. “They told me that despite my mother pleading with him to spare her, Prajwal Revanna had raped her,” he said. “When I called him and asked him to bring back my mother, he had no proper answer.”
