Jet fuel prices may rise on new norms

The Hindu Business Line - - FLIGHTPLAN -

Prices for jet fuel for later this year and into 2020 are expected to rise due to new marine fuel regulations as the need for lower-sulphur fuels in ships cuts into the available supply of diesel or jet fuel. But global abundance of light crude could help offset that.

A special NIA court in Ahmedabad, on Tuesday, awarded life imprisonment to a Mumbai-based businessman and imposed a fine of ₹5 crore on him for leaving a hijack threat note on a Jet Airways plane in October 2017.
