Murali-Shankar combo claims title
Murali Padmanabhan and M.P. Shankar (Madras Gymkhana Club) came back from a set down to beat the pair of Thyagarajan Venkataraman and Madhavan Rama Narasalyan (Indira Nagar Sports Club) 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 to clinch the 60+ veterans doubles title in the Sanmar-TNTA Chennai City tennis league.
Title for Lalaji Omega CBSE
Lalaji Omega CBSE defeated St. Bede’s by seven wickets in the nal of the RCME UNIBIC under-12 inter-school tournament held recently.
The scores: St. Bede’s 121/5 in 25 overs (S. Goutam 34, Sachin 34) lost to Lalaji Omega CBSE 122/3 in 21.4 overs (Navish Sundar 38 n.o.).
DCAC trials
The District Cricket Association of Chengalpattu will conduct u-14 selection trials to select the team to play in the TNCA’s inter-district tournaments on April 24 at Kabilan-Nest ground from 6.30 a.m.
