Ten young athletes to get India CementsTNSJA scholarships
As many as 10 promising young sportspersons will be awarded the prestigious India CementsTamil Nadu Sports Journalists’ Association Scholarship 2024 at a ceremony on Sunday (March 17). Each scholarship is worth ₹30,000.
India Cements, a pioneer in promoting sports for the past five decades, is sponsoring the scholarships for the second time. The recipients have been selected by a panel of sports journalists based on the athletes’ recent performances.
Several scholarship awardees the past like of
GMs R. Praggnanandhaa and R. Vaishali, Olympic fencer Bhavani Devi and IPL sensation M. Shahrukh Khan have achieved remarkable success.

Rethin Pranav (tennis), Barathkumar Karthi (volleyball), Deeksha Sivakumar (swimming), J. Hemchudeshan (cricket), G. Kamalini (cricket), Pooja Arthi (squash) and J. Keerthika (para athletics).
