Modi tears into INDIA bloc over ‘Shakti’ remark by its leaders
The 2024 elections will be a fight between those who want to eradicate Shakti and those who worship it, says Prime Minister alleging that INDIA’s manifesto proclaims that its aim is to finish Shakti
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday tore into the INDI Alliance (INDIA bloc) over the ‘Shakti’ remark by its leaders during the INDIA bloc’s rally in Mumbai on Sunday, alleging that INDIA’s manifesto proclaims that its fight is against ‘Shakti’ and aim is to finish it.
“The 2024 elections will be a fight between those who want to eradicate Shakti and those who worship it,” Mr Modi said, taking an oblique swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his ‘Shakti’ remark. We revere mothers, daughters and sisters as ‘Shakti Swaroop’. I am a worshiper of Bharat Mata. I accept their challenge and am ready for the battle to protect Shakti, Mr Modi said while addressing a public meeting in Telangana’s
Jagtial town on Monday.
How can anyone speak against ‘Shakti’ on Indian soil,” he said, asserting that the Chandrayaan3’s landing point on the moon was named as ‘Shiv Shakti.’
Mr. Modi continued the BJP’s campaign blitz in Telangana in the runup to the May 13 Lok Sabha elections by addressing a huge public meeting named ‘Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha’ in Jagtial, which is part of the Nizamabad Parliamentary constituency. He sounded the party’s rallying cry for ‘Abki Baar .. 400 Paar’ (This time, above 400) by offering salutations to the huge gathering in Telugu.
Mr Modi slammed the BRS and the Congress, alleging that the BRS brazenly looted Telangana for 10
years and the ruling Congress has now made the State its ATM. The plundered money lands in the hands of the dynastic families based in Delhi which in turn use it to sponsor divisive politics in the country,
he charged.
Scams are the hallmarks of dynastic parties, he said, referring to a range of scams that surfaced under the regimes of various familyled parties in the country.
