Leong puts it across Karan in the first round
Mitsuki Leong of Malaysia defeated the finalist of the last tournament, eighth seed Karan Singh, 76( 7), 62 in the first round of the HPCLMittal $15,000 ITF men’s tennis tournament at the CLTA Complex in Chandigarh on Wednesday.
In the prequarterfinals, the Malaysian will play qualifier Chirag Duhan who beat Wishaya Troncharoenchaikul of Thailand in three sets. Second seed Ramkumar Ramanathan, the champion of the last tournament, warmed up with a 63, 62 win over qualifier Manish Ganesh and will play Woobin Shin of Korea.

Siddharth Vishwakarma, S. Mukund, Madhwin Kamath, Dhruv Hirpara and Nitin Kumar Sinha joined Yuvan Nandal and Sidharth Rawat as the Indians in the prequarterfinals.
