Sahal’s strike puts Bagan in nal
‘Super Sub’ Sahal Abdul Samad turned superhero for the 62,000-strong home fans by scoring Mohun Bagan Super Giants’ match-winner in injury time at the Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday.
The League Shield winner remained in the hunt for a double as it reached the nal of ISL-10 with a 2-0 win over Odisha FC in the second leg of seminal 1. The Kolkata giant won 3-2 on aggregate.
Bagan will meet the winner of the other seminal between Mumbai City FC and FC Goa in the summit clash here on May 4.

As the match looked headed for extra-time with the teams tied 2-2 on aggregate, Manvir Singh made a searing run through the left and red a cross that Amrinder failed to clear.
The ball rebounded o the Odisha goalkeeper, hit Sahal’s head and moved towards the goal.
The Bagan midelder, who replaced Anirudh Thapa in the 72nd minute, rushed and used his body to guide the ball into the target much to the delight of the faithful.
The result: Mohun Bagan Super Giant 2 (Cummings 22, Sahal 90+3) bt Odisha FC 0 ( MBSG won 3-2 on aggregate).
The Indian team won the women’s 4x400m relay.
India won the women’s 4x400m gold on the concluding night of the 21st Asian under-20 athletics championships in Dubai on Saturday.
The team, comprising Anushka Kumbhar, Kanista Teena, Sai Sangeetha Dodla and Sandramol Sabu, clocked 3:41.50s.
The Indian 4x400m men’s relay team of P. Abiram, Navpreet Singh, Nikhil Dhake, Aman Chaud
hary clocked 3:09.36 for the silver while the 4x100m men’s relay team won bronze in a new junior national record time of 40.01s.
The Indian women’s 4x100m relay team also nished third but was later disqualied for a baton exchange. In men’s long jump, Mohammed Atta Sajid won bronze.
India nished third in the table with 29 medals (seven gold, 11 silver, 11 bronze).
