Covai Premier League from April 26

COIMBATORE: Media One and Thousand Bricks have come together to host the Covai Premier League (CPL) T20 championship at the 22 Yards ground in Saravanampatti from April 26.

CPL is a state-level platform where players above 16 years of age can showcase their talent. Pavizham Jewellers and Winners India City Developers will be the title sponsors for the event, which features 12 teams owned by Wavicle Data Solutions, Royal Care Hospital, Pothys, Techjays, Coimbatore Metropolitan

Club, MSD Academy, Mannadiar Cars, Sur…ne and Everest Builders and Promoters.

“The idea behind hosting an event of this stature is to prepare the players for the big stage like the TNPL and IPL,” said Lijo S. Chungath, the brain behind the show.

“We are working towards that and believe it will be a great success,” said Prakash, Director of Media One.
