When YSRCP promises, it delivers at any cost unlike TDP, says Vasupalli
Ending his 16-year-long association with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the year 2020, Visakhapatnam South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar joined the ruling YSRCP. Despite dissent from some YSRCP corporators and leaders, the YSRCP top leadership gave him the party ticket for the Visakhapatnam South Assembly constituency. The 2024 elections will be for the fourth time that Mr. Kumar is contesting from this constituency.

Hindu, about development, people’s demands and his experience working with the YSRCP over the last ve years. He observes that there is a sea of dierences in terms of governance between YSRCP and TDP.
“When the YSRCP promises something to the people, it delivers on it at any cost. I did not see that commitment in the TDP. But the YSRCP respects its manifesto and ensures each and every promise is ful lled.,” he said. He said that in the last ve years of the YSRCP rule, a number of development works were carried out, and priority was given to providing basic amenities. Among the major works taken up in the city during the last ve years was the widening of the main road between Lepakshi Junction and the Old Post Of ce, the works of which are apace, he said. He said the long-pending demand for constructing a road from the KGH area to the Satyanarayana temple was ful lled. Earlier, people were forced to reach the temple through the KGH mortuary. But now, we have constructed a good road, he said. Mr. Kumar also said that over 40,000 people reside in Relli Veedhi and its surroundings, which had only a six-foot road, and even an ambulance could not go on that road. We have extended the road to 20 feet to give access to all vehicles, he said.
