France stuns Germany

What was billed as a glamour friendly between France and world champion Germany was played to a finish on Friday, with France winning 2-0, despite two loud explosions being heard from outside the stadium during the first half.

It later became apparent that the explosions were connected to events unfolding elsewhere in the French capital on Friday evening.

Friendly to go ahead

The England-France friendly match scheduled for Tuesday in London will go ahead despite deadly attacks in Paris, according to the French football federation. The results:

At Brussels: Belgium 3 (Vertonghen 13, De Bruyne 74, Batshuayi 83) bt Italy 1 (Candreva 3).

At Ostrava: Czech Republic 4 (Sivok 17, Necid 63-pen, Krejci 82, Zahus-tel 90+2) bt Serbia 1 (Skuletic 78).

At Warsaw: Poland 4 (Grosicki 52, Kapustka 66, Lewandowsk­i 76, 79) bt Iceland 2 (Sigurdsson 4-pen, Finnbo-gasson 69).

At Alicante: Spain 2 (Mario Gaspar 71, Cazorla 84) bt England 0.

At Cardiff: Wales 2 (Ledley 45+3, Huws 70) lost to Netherland­s 3 (Dost 32, Robben 54, 81).
