Gnaneswar and Karan shine


VISAKHAPAT­NAM: Half centuries by Karan Shinde and C.R. Gnaneswar helped Andhra score 217 for seven in its first innings against Kerala on the first day of the Cooch-Behar trophy match at ACA North Zone Academy ground, Vizianagar­am on Saturday.

At Hyderabad, Buddhi Rahul (91 batting, 108b, 13x4, 2x6) helped Hyderabad post 243 for seven at close of play against Jharkhand at Gymkhana Ground.

Likhit Bannur took five for 76 as Odisha reached 204 for six against Karnataka at Hubballi.

The scores: At Vizianagar­am: Andhra 217 for seven in 90 overs (Karan Shinde 81, C.R. Gnaneswar 77, Atif Bin Ashraf four for 56) vs. Kerala.

At Hyderabad: Hyderabad 243 for seven in 90 overs (K. Nitesh Reddy 76, Buddhi Rahul 91batting, Anukul Roy four for 57) vs. Jharkhand.

At Hubballi: Odisha 204 for six in 90 overs (Biswajit Bhuyan batting 60, Subhransu Senapati 45, Subrat Samal 37, Sandeep Pattanaik 34, Likhit Bannur five for 76) vs. Karnataka.
