Will work to strengthen coalition, says Gowda
Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda on Sunday said he would not let the coalition government collapse and would make all efforts to strengthen it.
He was speaking at a party workers’ meeting organised in his constituency, Hassan, on Sunday. The Janata Dal (Secular) national president said he had discussed with former Chief Minister and coalition coordination committee chairman Siddaramaiah the steps to be taken to strengthen the ties between the Congress and the JD(S).
He praised his son and Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy for the loan waiver scheme which was no small challenge.
