The Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation, in association with the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mumbai, is organising an Iranian Film Festival from February 11 to February 13 at Alliance Française. The films are:
I Am Taraneh, I Am Fifteen Years Old (February 11, 6 pm)
Fifteen-year-old Taraneh, whose widowed father is in jail, refuses the unwanted attentions of carpet salesman Amir — until Amir’s mother talks Taraneh into accepting Amir’s marriage proposal. Within four months the couple find out that they are incompatible and have to apply for divorce.
The Colour of Paradise (February 11, 7.45 pm)
The tale of a child whose inability to see the world only enhances his ability to feel its powerful forces.
Crazy Castle (February 12, 6 pm)
The story of young friends who met on the Internet and their path in life.
Sweet Taste of Imagination (February 12, 7.45 pm)
A professor and his student have one thing in common: they’re both dreamers. Their love story is endangered when a business competitor comes into the picture.
Alzheimer (February 13, 6 pm)
A man has a car accident and has Alzheimer’s and must now face a different new world.
Wet Dream (February 13, 7.35 pm)
After years of living with his mother, a youngster has to go live with his father. Once there, he visits a girl who changes his life.
